…are the supports of commercial success just in economically difficult times. Who of us would have thought that an economic crisis of worldwide extent would last that long? Also our group felt the effects of the crisis. Nevertheless, we have always found together with you, our customers, answers to the many different challenges of the project and daily business. We have succeeded in keeping stable the economic development of the Hedrich Group and we are proud of it. In times like these, it is neither a matter of course nor an automatism to prove continuity successfully. Every day anew, our employees around the globe endeavour to provide to you proven and excellent Hedrich quality in order not to only defend our leadership on the market but also to extend it.
Let us look to the future, because it exists, the famous silver lining on the horizon. Experts say that from mid 2010 a significant economic recovery is to be expected. At the same time the worldwide energy demand and also the need for our customers’ products will increase. In macroeconomic terms, the local European energy markets will converge, the governments of China, India, the USA und Russia are planning to invest huge amounts in the modernization of their energy infrastructures and at the same time to considerably increase the share of renewable energies in the energy mix in the next years and decades. With this background, there is a whole series of very interesting and innovative projects in regard to the future general energy supply for mankind. In some of these projects, third world countries will play a key role and will thus be able to develop by their own efforts.
All this gives us cause for optimism, since we are well-positioned, both with our group-wide product and service range as well as with our ideal geographical locations in order to participate in the economic revival jointly with our customers, business partners and employees.
I would like to thank you all for your confidence, wish you a good start into a prosperous new year 2010 and hope you enjoy reading this RanD-Newsletter.
