Positive outcome of the Coil Winding 2009

Jointly with its subsidiaries Vogel and Hedrich winding systems, Hedrich vacuum systems attended the CWIEME (Coil Winding, Insulations and Electrical Manufacturing Exhibition) in Berlin from May 5 to 7, 2009. The companies presented their comprehensive product and service portfolio in cast resin and silicone processing, oil-paper insulation as well as coil production. Besides a booth, Hedrich was also represented with lectures at the technical conference Inductica which took place parallel to the exhibition.

Altogether the persons in charge of Hedrich and its subsidiaries had a positive impression. Booth and lectures were very well attended, resulting in around 100 enquiries for concrete projects and quotations and exceeding expectations. Satisfied with the CWIEME as ideal presentation and dialogue platform, Hedrich started the follow-up business.

In 2009, nearly 600 exhibitors from 40 countries presented their offers. In parallel, the Inductica took place, a technical conference for the latest developments regarding coils, generators and transformers. Hedrich experts delivered appealing lectures dealing with the subjects transformer and coil production, two key factors for the performance characteristics of mains and applications in the high- and medium-voltage range.

Hedrich noted a constantly high attendance at the booth during the entire show. A coil winding machine for high-voltage instrument transformers from Hedrich windings systems at the booth attracted a lot of visitors. With this machine, coil windings were produced directly at the booth. The system impressed the visitors by various technical innovations in the winding process, which make the equipment the most efficient of its kind in the world.

„The large number of visitors and their positive response showed us that it is worthwhile attending this exhibition.“ says Ralf Hedrich, General Manager of Hedrich vacuum systems. „Together with our subsidiaries we demonstrated our integrated value creation competence in many application areas of the electrical industry such as motors, generators, transformers or bushings. Continuous innovations and developments will remain also in the future our approach as one of the world’s leading suppliers in our markets.“

Also Karsten Adam, General Manager of Hedrich winding systems, was satisfied with the outcome of the exhibition: „One of the highlights at our booth was our fully automatic coil winding machine HW 150. The capability to produce two coils or two different coil types simultaneously doubles the productivity of coil production. This really impressed many visitors”.

Norbert Maroldt, General Manager of Vogel moulds and machines AG, considered the CWIEME above all important to cultivate customer relations. “Many of our customers used this year’s Coil Winding show to personally contact with us.“ stated Maroldt. „Since Hedrich experts from all of our business areas and subsidiaries were present at the booth, ongoing and future projects had been directly discussed in detail. Especially our innovations in hollow-insulator production processes met great interest as they reduce the cycle time by 30 percent.“
