More than 60 participants from the electrical industry became familiar with the most recent developments of cast resin equipment during a customer seminar that took place in Shanghai, China on March 17, 2009. The seminar was jointly organized by Hedrich and Chint Electric HV Co. Ltd., one of the largest producers of current transformers and power transmission solutions in China.
In the morning of March 17, 2009, Ralf Hedrich, General Manager Hedrich vacuum systems and Tang Xiaojang, General Manager Chint Electric, welcomed the participants of the seminar. From the user’s point of view Liu Zhiyong, Technical Manager, New Northeast Electric (Shenyang) HV Switchgear Co. Ltd. and Chu Shouyong, Technical Manager Chint Electric HV Co. Ltd, reported on subjects of the operational practice. Markus Gerth, Member of the Board and Matthias Kaufmann, Sales & Technical Manager, Hedrich vacuum systems, presented the latest developments in the field of cast resin equipment as well as in the corporate structure of HEDRICH. A factory tour at Chint, Shanghai in the afternoon completed the seminar program, which came to an end with a discussion during a dinner with all participants.
The participants had a positive impression primarily of the practical approach of the lectures and the equilibrium between user and supplier standpoint. HEDRICH has been present in China since 1985 with a sales agency in Beijing and a production and service location in Xiamen. Customers like Chint emphasize how much they appreciate this customer proximity and the advantages e.g. in the provision of services and they welcome the extension of the product and service offering by the new production site Changtai. Already since 1996 HEDRICH vacuum systems have been holding around 10 customer seminars every year throughout the world and every two years the HEDRICH World Congress which will be taking place for the third time in May 2010. The customer seminars give HEDRICH a direct feedback of the experience gained by the equipment users who on their part get informed about most recent technological developments. Such a close relation to the customer as practice-oriented source of enhancements and innovations plays an important role in HEDRICH’s worldwide success.
