Only a 40 minute's drive away from Hedrich Xiamen, the Hedrich Group has opened a second production site in China in Changtai, Fujian province. In June 2009, production was launched out with the focus on the manufacture of steel constructions for turnkey projects of the overall Hedrich Group.

In the first quarter of 2008, the Hedrich Group bought an about 20,000 square meter large premise in a new industrial area of Changtai. Building of an about 1,700 square meter large manufacturing workshop began right after that and has been completed in June 2009. With a height of about eight meters, the workshop is capable of manufacturing also large steel constructions,

The location of Hedrich Fujian is about 40 driving minutes away from Hedrich Xiamen and is to support the Xiamen location in realizing projects of the overall Hedrich Group. Changtai is connected to a railroad to Fuzhou, the capital of the Fujian province. A motorway which is currently being built is yet to come and is to connect Fujian directly with the Xiamen sea port in the future.

The first vacuum tank for an oil/paper drying equipment has already been manufactured and supplied to the customer, Jinan Transformer Group from Shandong. The tank with 13 meters in length, five meters in width and six meters in height is going to be used for the drying of transformers for the high-voltage range. Up to three transformers with a total weight of about 300 tons can be dried in this tank at the same time.

Subsequential orders for Hedrich Fujian are in sight, thus the degree of capacity utilization is thus developing as scheduled.
