Ehringshausen, April 3, 2009 --- More than 60 participants became familiar with the most recent developments of cast resin equipment during a customer seminar that took place in Shanghai, China on March 17, 2009. Hedrich vacuum systems organized the seminar together with Chint Electric Co., Ltd. High-Voltage Switch Company, one of the largest producers of Power Transmission & Distribution in China. Besides a series of lectures, the program of the all-day seminar also included a visit to the production facilities of Chint at the Shanghai location. All participants came from the electrical industry in China. 

In the morning of March 17, Ralf Hedrich, General Manager Hedrich vacuum systems and Tang Xiaojang, General Manager Chint Electric Co., Ltd. High-Voltage Switch Company, welcomed the participants of the seminar.  Liu Zhiyong, Vice Factory Manager, New Northeast Electric (Shenyang) HV Switchgear Co. Ltd. Insulation Facory and Chu Shouyong, Vice Chief Engineer Chint Electric Co., Ltd. High-Voltage Switch Company, reported on subjects of the operational practice from the users’ point of view. Markus Gerth, Member of the Board and Matthias Kaufmann, Sales & Technical Manager, Hedrich vacuum systems, presented the latest developments in the field of cast resin equipment as well as in the corporate structure of HEDRICH. A factory tour at Chint, Shanghai in the afternoon completed the seminar program, which came to an end with a discussion during a dinner with all participants.

The participants had a positive impression primarily of the practical approach of the lectures and the equilibrium between user and supplier standpoint. HEDRICH has been present in China since 1985 with a sales office in Bejing and a production and service location in Xiamen. Customers like Chint emphasize how much they appreciate this customer proximity and the advantages e.g. in the provision of services and welcome the extension of the product and service offering by the new production site Zhangzhou, Fujian. HEDRICH is being regarded as the market leader in the field of cast resin equipment in China and enjoys a high reputation for its innovativeness and distinct customer and quality orientation. 

Already since 1996 HEDRICH vacuum systems have been holding around 10 customer seminars every year throughout the world and every two years the HEDRICH World Congress which will be taking place for the third time in April next year. The customer seminars give HEDRICH a direct feedback of the experience gained by the equipment users who on their part get informed of most recent technological developments. Such a close relation to the customer as practice-oriented source of enhancements and innovations plays an important role in HEDRICH’s worldwide success.
