Equipment for oil-paper insulation

The quality of an impregnation is influenced not only by the choice of an appropriate insulating medium but also by the kind of impregnating process. All customary drying processes under vacuum such as conventional hot-air drying, vacuum drying, interval drying, oil-spray drying, low-frequency drying, vapour-phase process and vacuum pressure impregnation (VPI) are used for solid insulating materials. Liquid insulating media such as transformer oil and impregnating media are dried and degassed in special purification systems.
