Hydraulic Presses for Transformer Windings
- Press with central cylinder
High dielectric strength and long service life are important basic properties of transformers for medium and high voltage applications. Besides the least possible residual moisture of the insulation (cellulose material), the dimensional accuracy of the windings is another point to focus on during production and drying.
According to state-of-the-art technology, the best and fastest process is the simultaneous hydraulic pressing during drying in hot-air or Vapour Phase equipment. This way of proceeding significantly contributes to achieving a better quality of the windings.
The high operating efficiency and flexibility of the HEDRICH equipment is accomplished by the parallel, but individual pressing of 3, 6, 9 … coils, even of different sizes and diameters (up to 3000mm).
HEDRICH offers two series of different technologies: Using one centrally arranged cylinder and a working pressure of 250bar for windings up to 1000mm or cylinders arranged at the periphery of the press plates and a working pressure of 500bar for windings up to 250mm.
Of course, it is also possible to upgrade already existing drying equipment, after appropriate inspection of the actual condition.
