Vapour phase transformer drying equipment
Vapour-phase systems are used for proper preparation (dehydration, degassing, impregnation) to optimize the dielectric properties of transformer insulations.
Increasing quality requirements demand a more and more careful treatment under vacuum. After the initially applied technologies such as the hot-air circulation process, the vapour-phase drying process nowadays is the most efficient method to treat power transformers.
Preferred basis for this especially is the correlation between vapour pressure, temperature and residual water content in the paper. This most advanced method of the vacuum drying technology optimizes heat transfer, insulation stress and process time.
