In addition to the big international clients such as Siemens, ABB, Toshiba, TBEA and very important Chinese producers also high-profile visitors from Japan, Korea and Indonesia were welcomed and informed about important developments in the Asian markets.

For more than two decades, the Hedrich Group has been active in the Chinese market and runs two production sites and a sales and service network. Nevertheless, many customers connect the name Hedrich mainly with drying and insulating equipment but have missed Hedrichs development for a complete system supplier for medium and high voltage applications. Therefore, some participants have been very impressed by this information and the additional value for producers in the electrical industry. As an example, the subsidiary Hedrich winding systems, develops since 2008 highly efficient winding machines for generators and transformer coils and distribute these systems worldwide. Another successful story since 2010 is the latest Start-up: Hedrich Core Systems AG for complex core cutting and stacking systems for transformer cores, which rapidly has established itself in the market. Great expectation is not only given by the commercial success but also by the pioneering patents and technical progresses in order to be the first complete system provider in that industry and to set new standards.

Another highlight was the guest lecture held by Mr. Yong Jing, Deputy Chief Engineer of China Electric Power Research Institute (CSG). He reported in great details about the future of the Asian energy grid and other technical developments in the South-Asian power sector.

Of course, the expansion of the energy infrastructure as a major accelerator was eagerly discussed by all the customers, suppliers and speakers. And all agreed that both - the technological developments, as well as the expansion of the networks - should have national and international priority and therefore one shall meet regularly to share the information to be prepared for the up-coming challenges in the energy sectors.
