TOP 100 Success: HEDRICH to grab for the Second Star as Leading Innovator 2018

It is the 25th time for the TOP 100 competition to choose the most innovative German medium-sized companies. And again this year, the HEDRICH GmbH is amongst those leading innovators. This was the result of the analysis by the scientific director of the TOP 100, Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke. As mentor of the TOP 100, Ranga Yogeshwar was handing over the award to the company from Ehringshausen together with Dr. Franke and compamedia on June 29, 2018 in Ludwigsburg in the course of the 5. German Summit of Medium-Sized Companies. It was already for the second time in a row that HEDRICH succeeded in jumping into the pond of this innovations elite. The company with about 150 employees (in Germany) convinced in the independent selection process particularly in the categories of „Success in Innovation“ and „Innovative Climate“.

Four new products a year – this ambitious objective was what the Hedrich GmbH used to motivate their developers and technicians to perform at peak capacity. No wonder that the medium-sized company with 150 employees from Ehringshausen in the Lahn-Dill district has been setting the tone in the field of vacuum equipment engineering for years. Not only customers from the electrical and medical industry take benefit from the know-how provided by the top innovator, as do representatives from the electro-mobility and wind energy markets.

Amongst the most recent new developments of the medium-sized company are a mobile low-frequency drying system as well as a new technology for measuring the residual moisture and gas content for unfilled cast resins. “Especially when manufacturing rotor blades for wind energy systems and other composite components, this innovation provides essential advantages“, explains CEO Joachim Schulz. Also with view to the subject of Industry 4.0, the two-times winning TOP 100 enterprise shows that it is beating the top scores: Customers of the medium-sized company can monitor and control their equipment by means of the specifically programmed app COPRA - via smartphone, tablet or PC.
Such likes of ideas do not just happen to come up at HEDRICH but are the result of a systematic innovation management, including cross-department brainstorming of ideas and workshops as well as trend analyses in close cooperation and exchange with customers and suppliers.
